PLANNING

Alfred Hitchcock explains the power of footage

...and arrangement of that footage.

Mobile technology allows for quick and easy gathering of footage, as well as editing. For quality projects, there has to be some planning. Before you introduce the project to the students or start one of your own consider:

*What is the intended outcome?
*Who is the intended audience?
*What does an excellent example look like? (student + professional)
*What are the parameters?
*If open to all creativity, have students propose a plan + time schedule
*Plot out the scenes using a  storyboarding technique
*Shoot out of order based on location
*rearrange clips thematically
*check student progress throughout
*allow time for rendering/exporting
