My channel "History for Music Lovers" has reached millions and has given me the opportunity to communicate with people from all over the globe. It's a shame it's blocked in a lot of districts, but you can use TeacherTube or SchoolTube. Many teachers are now creating videos for their "flipped courses".

The key to doing what we at "History for Music Lovers" do is to pick the right song for your subject (that can be a feat), then strive to replace every lyric with your own, information-rich, clever (hopefully) lyrics. This student has produced several videos and in my opinion writes top-notch lyrics.

WeVideo is unique in that it allows for social editing in the cloud. That means you are not tied to a particular device and you can collaborate easily with others. Linked here is an overview.
