Perfume Interactive Oral Preparation: Learning Games

For this Interactive Oral, your group will research a topic related to the cultural and historical context of Perfume and create a game that will help your peers learn about your findings as they play.

The Topics

Access the Spreadsheet of TOPICS and sign up your group https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1J6PBE33FpXTNxObAbfPQQGP0G_Vk-HB4T7UqMOCbvgM/edit?usp=sharing

April 29 - choose topic and group

May 2- finalize proposal for game (type, overview, plan)

May 7 - GAME DAY (half the groups will host their games science -fair style while the other half plays; we will switch at 30 min then debrief after 1 hour)

The Research

Your group will be responsible for a 1 pager that you will HYPERLINK to the Spreadsheet of Topics (under your group name). This should give an overview of your findings in the form of a graphic organizer or bullet points, etc. Sources should be cited at the bottom.

The Game

Your group's game may be digital or analog. It can be a remix of an existing game (like a bean bag toss or Chutes and Ladders). You must have fairly easy instructions and the game must be able to be played by 3-4 people within 5 -10 minutes. If you create a digital experience, please make sure participants have the needed app prior to presenting.

The Objective

Your group's game should highlight your findings about the topic and showcase your expertise. The game should teach relevant aspects of your topic to the players - as they play the game they should learn and / or reinforce new knowledge .
