KOKORO NOIR

There is a lot of symbolism in the novel Kokoro...lots of shadows and hiding the truth. Let's use black and white photography to capture the essence of that....

1. First...download the Noir App.

During Spring Break, finish reading Kokoro, adding to our Padlet as you go.

2. Choose 9 iconic moments - the scenes or quotes that, for you, are the most powerful. (this is called a "Literary 3 X 3")

3. Take photos that will illustrate these scenes or quotes. You are encouraged to think metaphorically as well as literally.

4. Use the NOIR app to edit your photos to create a mysterious, somber tone symbolic of the "shadows" in this book.

5. Match your photos with TEXTUAL EVIDENCE (either the context or a quote)

Here are some examples of photos treated with the Noir app:

We will share on the day we get back from Spring Break (April 2).
