What I Do.

I sketch your event in an impressionistic, artistic manner with minimalist palette and graphic style.
 
I don’t “record” the event in a literal, highly detailed way.
 
Instead, I give the nuance and ethos of the event with bold, simple, easy-to-digest images often filled with metaphorical symbolism
The focus is on soundbites and big takeaways: the BIg Idea, quotes from speakers and participants, the salient points, the tone/ vibe of the event...
archive quotes/ key takeaways from keynotes and formal presentations
 
sketch impressions of goings-ons
 
participate in as many sessions (or of your choice) as possible to sketch takeaways and quotes
 
logos / marketing type memes for the conference or organization
 
interview attendees and speakers privately- do portraits and quotes
 
whimsical sketch games - such as one word to describe today in metaphorical type, “overheard at the event”; other games we could decide upon in contract
 
amplification of all sketches via Twitter, G+, Instagram, Pinterest, Paper 53 MIX (for remix)
 
sketch film: live sketch design, storyboarded  as a reflection of the day (negotiable)
 
other “cultural” impressions: venue, fashion, off-location social events (negotiable)
 
printed Moleskine from Paper 53  (negotiable)
 
amplify sketches on social media 1 week before (pre-sketch) and up to 1 week after (negotiable)
