April 15: Text-based Theme Cards and Photo Quote

In your small group find textual evidence for the following themes in Macbeth: ambition, violence, guilt/remorse/second thoughts...as well as foreshadowing or dramatic irony

You will need index cards and 1 green pen, 1 black pen, 1 red pen, and 1 blue pen.

1. Discuss and find (by searching the text) specific examples of quotes/textual evidence that support these themes.

2. Write the quote on the card and use a GREEN PEN to write the “ambition” card...the RED PEN to write the “violence” card, the BLUE PEN to write the guilt/remorse card...and the BLACK PEN to write the foreshadowing / dramatic irony card. (or you can draw a colored border).

3. Divide the work up and don't forget to take a photo of your cards for your blog. Your group will present your choices to the class.

4. After presenting, post the cards to the wall (maybe under the white board?) and each person should choose a quote you are particularly drawn to.

After choosing your favorite quote, visualize it with ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Take a photo that best illustrates the quote and add filters or editing to enhance the tone of the quote.

Recommended photo apps to alter your photograph: Megaphoto, Noir, Pixlr-o-matic, Huji Cam
