What is your big takeaway from the WWI poetry unit?

For this journal you will need:

a notecard

a pen or colored pens

This is a reflection called "ONE WORD". What is the one word you would use to sum up what you have learned in this unit? What is the one word that stands out? Basically, you need to synthesize and boil everything down to just one relevant, powerful word.

After that, play with "metaphorical typography". This is when the font "matches" what the word is, so that the lettering adds extra meaning. Here are some examples (not about WWI poetry):

As you see, in mine I chose to depict a soldier's cross grave marker, a gas mask, and poppies.

Be sure to write your name somewhere on it and turn it in. You can also TAKE A PHOTO of it and attach it to the document with Journals #6 and #7 that you email to me.
